THE SAMSUNG OMNIA 2 (I8000)

Recently Samsung released their latest touchscreen lineup, which included the Samsung Omnia II, or the 18000. The 18000 might look quite similar to the Samsung Jet which was released at the same time, but don't get confused: the 18000 is a full-fledged smartphone, whereas the Jet is not. The all new Omnia II is full of all kinds of high-end smartphone technology that hardcore cell phone enthusiasts crave; the Windows Mobile 6.1 powered Omnia features wireless connectivity from all areas including WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, 3G data connectivity and some integrated GPS hardware. The 18000 also has a 5.0 megapixel camera complete with auto-focus, dual LED flash, and records video at 480p resolution. The 1800's touchscreen is nothing to balk at: 480x 800 pixels at WVGA resolution make this smartphone a one-of-a-kind must-have. This handset also feature's Samsung's TouchWiz 2.0 user interface for cool 3D effects, multi-tasking convenience and resistive touch for faster, more accurate touch response.

Some additional features include:150 MB internal memory with a microSD card slot Qualcomm processory, 3G support, miniUSB, DivX/XViD support, cubical central button, and a 1500mAh battery. As mentioned, the Omnia II (or 18000) has been released alongside several other smartphones, including the Omnia Pro B7320, the Jet, and the Omnia Lite B7300, which makes a total of five new phones for the South Korean Samsung.
