SAMSUNG OMNIA LITE -- ANOTHER ADDITION TO THE CURRENT SAMSUNG-RELEASE-BONANZA

Continuing with this seemingly popular trend of Samsung announcing touchscreen phones, behold the Samsung Omnia LITE, a scaled down version of the Omnia II. More after the jump.

As to not burden the world economy with just one heinously priced touchscreen semi-smartphone, Samsung opted to come out with a toned-down version of their popular Omnia series of phones. The Samsung Omnia LITE has the following specs:

• Full touchscreen form factor
• TouchWiz 2.0
• 3 megapixel camera
• Push email support
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Full HTML Opera Web browser
• HSDPA
• Wi-Fi
• A-GPS

The phone is quite a bit less when it comes to bells-and-whistles as its sibling, the Omnia II, but nevertheless, this appears to be a hearty offering in Samsung's touchscreen family. No pricing or carrier details have been released, but "less than the Omnia II" and "Verizon" appear to be good answers at the moment.
