Samsung's been having a hell of a week (in a good way), and today is no exception. Managers for the company have announced two new phones in their upcoming lineup. One has something to do with AMOLED screens, and the other is Android-related. Check out info after the jump. First off, Casey Ryan (product manager for Sprint) has come out and said to the New York Times that next summer they'll come out with Android phones with touch-screens, internet, and all the hooplah normally reserved for T-Mobile's high-end offerings...for less than a Benjamin. Now, we haven't heard anything official and concrete, but with the amazing popularity of touchscreen devices--especially form Samsung--this announcement isn't surprising. They also managed to announce that they will be producing a high-end phone for Sprint before the end of the year that uses stunning AMOLED displays. If you've ever seen one in person, you know how stunning the screens look. Again, nothing specific was revealed, but having reached the second half of 2009, I would suspect that an announcement and some specifications are due quite soon. [via EngadgetMobile] |
