We got a glimpse of SlingBox Mobile for BlackBerry a few days ago and today SlingBox Mobile for iPhone was announced.
Lets back it up somewhat. What this software allows you to do is, assuming you have a Slingbox, stream content from your home cable or satellite hookup directly to your iPhone over WiFi.

Sling Media expects to submit their application to Apple for approval at some point this quarter. Pricing is yet-to-be-determined, but it shouldn't be too extravagant.
Getting this software into the hands of iPhone users and the like is certainly a wise decision, since they are likely the same customers who might already own a set top box like the Slingbox in the first place.

This software/hardwire combo might just give Apple TV a real run for its money, since it now appears quite limited. Apple TV offers no solution for DVR-ing your favorite television programming for future consumption (wireless or otherwise), since its schtick is entirely iTunes based and Apple wants you to buy the TV show you missed on iTunes, not simple record it for later.
