SPRINT COMPLETELY ACQUIRES VIRGIN MOBILE FOR $483 MILLION

Sprint has officially purchased Richard Branson's Virgin Mobile service for $483 million dollars. See what this means for customers after the jump.

As of right now, all that is known is that Sprint is forking over oodles of money (that no one knew they had) in order to buy the company for $483 million including $250 million of Virgin Mobile's debt. Will Virgin Mobile be absorbed into Boost Mobile in the near future? We'll soon see, but given Virgin Mobile's waning popularity and media presence in the last year, I don't think that many beyond their core user base will notice any difference.
