SPRINT PALM PRE PRICE UPDATE

A few days ago, there were some circulating rumors indicating that Sprint will offer the Palm Pre at $399 with a 2 year Sprint contract. However, the folks at UnwiredView.com discovered that these rumors have been denied by its original source. The source of the rumor, Mobile Review’s Eldar Murtazin, clarified that the Palm Pre will be offered at a full price of $399 or $499, and $149 or $199 on a 2 year Sprint contract. Murtazin explains that Sprint is considering two price points for the Palm Pre and the final decision will be made depending on the competitive landscape. Mobile Review also reported that the initial production run of Palm Pre devices will be limited to 200 000 units due to the limitations on the manufacturing capacity for the Pre's display panels. |

Oy, summer '09...I don't wanna wait that long!
Unless iPhone firmware 3.0 or whatever they're going to call it is as amazing as webOS/Pre I just don't know if I could resist the appeal of the Palm.
And especially if the Pre comes in at $149 or even $199...so very tempting.
