SPRINT: PALM PRE SHORTAGE RUMORS ARE PURE SPECULATION

We are getting closer to the well awaited Palm Pre release date but rumors of severe shortages have circulated. Some reports indicate that Palm Pre stocks at Best Buy Mobile stores will be very limited and many customers are wondering if the case will be the same with Sprint’s stock. In response, Sprint has released a statement to quell the doubts about the upcoming Palm Pre release date:

At Sprint, we’re excited by the response to the Palm Pre, but what’s been posted is pure speculation. Because of the Pre’s popularity, it’s likely that initially we won’t be able to keep up with the demand for the device. If that happens, we will work diligently to ensure that everyone who wants a Pre can get one as soon as possible

The Palm Pre has subjected to a lot of attention since being launched last January so it's likely that demand will exceed supply. Sprint has promised to work diligently but it would be prudent to line up early during the upcoming Palm Pre release date.
