The Xohm WiMax network will also be launched in more cities over time. Sprint proudly claimed that the next-generation wireless data network will be able to deliver speeds between 2 and 4 Mbps. The announcement also indicated that customers would be able to choose from Initial data plans that do not require any annual agreements. Sprint subscribers will also have the ability to use multiple devices with just a single Xohm account. Customers can choose from monthly passes for $25 to daily passes for $10. The telecommunications company is currently offering a range of WiMax modems to subscribers. Additional WiMAX enabled laptops and other devices will be available before the end of the year. A dual-mode EVDO / WiMax device that can use both networks is currently being developed and is scheduled to be released in the next few months. |
