Some mobile phones have small keypads and limited number of spaces for message compositions so Text Message Shorthand has become a useful communication tool for cell phone owners.
With Text Message Shorthand becoming widespread, you can benefit from learning a few words and phrases. Text Message Shorthand is helpful because it allows users to converse without pressing a lot of keys. For instance, you can simply type “btw” instead of "by the way" and save time when composing a message. This mobile phone language is also useful when you want to send a discreet and quick message to a friend.
If you don't own a Smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard, you can compose a message just as quickly with your normal keyboard using this mobile phone language. Learning Text Message Shorthand will also be helpful if you are communicating with a person who uses this language when sending text messages.
