UPCOMING NOKIA PHONES FOR 2009

 

Nokia is the world's biggest cell phone manufacturer with an estimated 39% share mobile device market and a yearly net sale of around EUR 50, 000 million. However, Nokia does not have a big presence in the US and only a handful of the company's cell phones are being subsidized by US carriers. Most Nokia mobile phones reach the US market by being sold unlocked by retails. Let's look at the upcoming Nokia phones for 2009.

Nokia E55: this slim Symbian S60 3rd Edition smartphone slim like the E71. The Nokia E55 features a a 2.4 inch TFT display and a SureType keyboard. Other highlight features include a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash, GPS, Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth, FM radio and 3.5mm headphone jack. This upcoming Nokia has recently passed through the FCC and may be release before the end of the year.

 

Nokia E72: this Symbian S60 3rd Edition smartphone is the update to the E71. The Nokia E72 features a 2.40 inch landscape display and a full QWERTY keyboard. Other key features include a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus, tri-band HSDPA data, GPS, Wi-Fi, A2DP, and a 3.5mm headset jack.This smartphone is expected to be released in the third quarter.

Nokia 5530 XpressMusic: this is Nokia's third full touchscreen phone. The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic sports a 2.9 inch wide screen touch-sensitive display and a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and flash. Other features include S60 5th Edition OS, microSD card slot, Bluetooth with A2DP and Wi-Fi. This handset is expected to be released on Q3 of 2009.

 

Nokia Thresher: this sleek slider phone is headed for AT&T. The Nokia Thresher offers solid features like a 2.4 inch display, a 3.2 megapixel camera with zoom and integrated flash. Other features include HSDPA 3G data, aGPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and built-in compass. This slider music phone for AT&T is expected to be launched on September 18.

 

Nokia 6710 Navigator: this mobile navigation-centric phone is preloaded with Nokia Maps 3.0 and a built-in compass. The Nokia 6710 Navigator features a 2.6 inch display, <5 megapixel autofocus camera and a dedicated navigator key. Other features include 3G support, Wi-Fi and a memory card slot. The Nokia 6710 Navigator is expected to be available in Q3 of 2009.

 

 Nokia 6720 Classic: this handset comes integrated GPS with Nokia Maps and an electronic compass. The Nokia 6720 Classic features a 5.0-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash. Other features include HSDPA data, Wi-Fi and N-Gage gaming support. The Nokia 6720 Classic is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2009.

 

Nokia 5330 XpressMusic: this music phone sports a slider design with a 2.4 inch QVGA display and illumination effects. Nokia 5330 XpressMusic also offers a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus, LED flash and video recording. Other features include A-GPS, stereo Bluetooth, 3.5mm standard headset jack and FM radio with RDS. The Nokia 5330 XpressMusic is expected to be available in the third quarter of 2009.

 

Nokia E52: this Smartphone is an affordable alternative to the more expensive high-powered handsets in the market. The Nokia E52 features a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and a vibrant 2.40 inch QVGA display. Other features include GPS, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR with A2DP support, FM radio with RDS, and Wi-Fi. The Nokia E52 will become available in the second half of 2009.

 

 

 Nokia 6750: This upcoming cell phone sports a sleek clamshell body with dedicated music keys. The Nokia 6750 also comes with an outer display hidden behind a mirrored shell. This stylish flip phone's features include 3G support, Video Share and Media Net.The release date for the Nokia 6750 has not been revealed.

 

Nokia 6600i Slide : This new slider phone is the update to the 6600. The Nokia 6600i Slide features a 5 megapixels camera with autofocus and dual LED flash. other features include an accelerometer, support for 16GB microSD cards, Bluetooth 2.0, and FM radio. The Nokia 6600i Slide will be available in the third quarter of 2009 in select markets.

 

Nokia 2730 Classic: This Classic Nokia phone is an affordable handset that offers WCDMA 850/1900 radios for U.S. 3G bands. The Nokia2730 Classic offers Bluetooth 2.0+EDR with A2DP support, a 2 megapixel camera with video capture, and support for 2GB microSD cards. This handset is expected to be released in the third quarter.

 

Nokia 7020 : This stylish clamshell phone enables users to double-tap the front of the phone to turn on the outer display to see notifications. The Nokia 7020 features a 2 megapixel camera, MP3 player, accelerometer and support for microSD cards. This sleek flip phone is expected to be released in the fourth quarter.

 

Nokia 2720 Fold:this slim and shiny Nokia phone provides access to email in three-easy steps. The Nokia 2720 also comes pre-loaded with Nokia Life Tools in selected territories. This sleek clamshell phone is expected to arrive sometime in Q3 for 55€ ($74 USD).


Nokia 3710 Fold: this stylish Nokia flip phone features a nice set of features. The Nokia 3710 fold comes with a a 2.2-inch QVGA main display and a 3.2-megapixel camera with an LED flash, digital zoom and video recording. This clamshell phone is expected to be released in Q4 of 2009.

 

Nokia 3720 Classic: this handset represents Nokia's effort to produce a rugged phone. The durable Nokia 3720 Classic is IP-54 certified. The features it offers include a 2.0 megapixel with LED flash, GPRS/EDGE data, stereo Bluetooth, and FM radio. The release date for this rugged phone has not been announced.

Really super collection of...

Really super collection of Nokia phones but my favorites are Nokia 6750 and Nokia 6600 i slide i think these are not only looks great but also loaded with ample of features.
