UPCOMING VERIZON WIRELESS PHONES

Verizon Wireless needs to release to release good phones this year to match the new handsets offered by it's rivals. The company needs to announce a handset that can stand up against the iPhone 3GS, Palm Pre and myTouch 3G. However, recent leaks and rumors show that Big Red is planning to release a good lineup that can match the offerings of other carriers. Let's look at the upcoming Verizon Wireless phones for the second half of 2009.

BlackBerry Storm 2: This touchscreen RIM handset will make up for the poor performance of the original Storm. The BlackBerry Storm 2 will feature a new text entry technology for its touchscreen and WiFi.

HTC Touch Pro2: This phone has been described as the best Windows Mobile smartphone for this year. The HTC Touch Pro2 offers a 3.6 inches touch-sensitive display with TouchFLO 3D interface and a 3.2-megapixel camera.

Samsung Omnia II: This device is one of Samsung's top phones for 2009. The Smasung Omnia II features a 3.7-inch AMOLED WVGA resolution touchscreen and a 5 MP camera.

LG Chocolate Touch: This handset is a high-end Black Label fashion phone. The LG Chocolate touch sports a sexy body with a 4-inch multi touch-sensitive display and a 5 megapixel CMOS camera.

Motorola Sholes: This handset is rumored to be one of Mototorla's Android-powered phones.  The Motrola Sholes features a 3.7-inch touch-sensitive display, 5 MP autofocus camera, Wi-Fi and a full QWERTY keyboard.

BlackBerry 8530: This device is rumored to be coming to Verizon in late November. The BlackBerry 8530 features a 320×240 resolution screen, Wi-Fi , 2 megapixel camera and QWERTY keyboard.

PCD TXT8020:This phone's full QWERTY keyboard is ideal for heavy text messaging and email. The PCD TXT8020 features a swiveling display and a 1.3 MP camera.

Samsung Rogue U960 or Glyde 2: This upcoming phone will sport a full touchscreen, and QWERTY keyboard. The Samsung  Rogue U960 for Verizon Wireless will carry a 3 megapixel camera with geo tagging, auto focus, flash and video recording.

Samsung Strut: The Strut is a message-centric phone that features a square-shaped clamshell design targeted for young women. The Samsung Strut sports a simple 1.3 MP camera.

Verizon Wireless CDM7076: This simple flip phone offers the basic features needed by average users. The Verizon Wireless CDM7076 offers a basic VGA camera, GPS and speakerphone.

Motorola A4500: This mobile phone is also known as the Napoleon Q9. The Motorola A4500 is a Windows mobile smartphone with a 2 megapixel camera with flash.
