WEBOS 1.1 FOR THE PALM PRE COMING SOON?

Recent Palm Pre rumors indicate that the webOS 1.1 update might be released with-in the month. The folks at PreCentral have obtained details of the webOS 1.1 for the Palm Pre from an anonymous tipster. This update is expected to focus on improved Exchange Active Sync policies and Security. This software update will provide EAS improvement including:

• IT-initiated remote wipe
• Required PIN with complexity
• Device wipe after a certain number of failed PIN attempts
• Auto-lock
• Improved digital certificates

The webOS 1.1 for the Palm Pre might also include more applications. However, it is still unclear if these new applications will be written by Palm or come via  3rd party apps in the App Catalog.
