WINDOWS MOBILE 6.5 TO BE RELEASED IN Q3 OF 2009?

Here's an interesting mobile OS rumor. According to DigiTimes.com, Microsoft will deliver the Windows Mobile 6.5 to handset makers in the middle of 2009. This new mobile OS may be unveiled at next month's Mobile World Conference. Smartphones running on the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS may be released in the third quarter. However, most of the handsets running on the Windows Mobile 6.5 are expected to be launched during the year-end shopping season. The sources do not indicate whether the Windows Mobile 6.5 will be provided on handsets than run on the 6.1 platform. [Via: BGR] |
