Consumers can now purchase the Dell Aero directly from the manufacturer for $99 with a new two-year AT&T service plan or for the full retail price of $299. This new Android smartphone features a 3.5-inch multitouch display with 360×640 resolution, a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash, WiFi, HSDPA, and GPS. Unfortunately it runs on the nearly two-year old, Android 1.5 OS.

The Dell Thunder has resurfaced after being leaked with other upcoming Dell smartphones last May. The folks a Engadget have obtained live images and a video of a prototype of the unannounced and unreleased Dell Thunder. This high-end smartphone features a 4.1-inch screen with 800 x 480 resolution, a 1400 mAh battery, Android 2.1 and an 8 megapixel camera with 720p video recording.
Dell's Android smartphone will go on sale starting Friday, August 13 for for $299.99 on a two-year contract and $549.99 off-contract.
