FREE GPS NAVIGATION APP IN THE ANDROID MARKET: WAZE

My new favorite Android app in the Market today is Waze.  Waze is a free turn by turn navigation application that is completely user generated.  Waze uses user generated content with GPS to give users as accurate as possible routes to their destinations.  While using goverment street maps as base Waze uses complex algorithms to calculate unknown roads on a map.  Users can also report speed traps, accidents, and traffic conditions; it's even courteous enough to remind you not to include the details of an accident at a later time as to not distract the user from driving.  To allow this app to operate at it's peak requires users to download the app and use it to complete more maps and report incidents to create a smoother driving experience.  Waze also uses cell tower triangulation and GPS location to determine the speed in which you are traveling and then reporting that to users.  I love this app because it provides real time traffic information on my T-Mobile myTouch 3G, letting me glide through traffic a little bit faster; and the network here in Los Angeles is pretty quick.  Download this app today so we can all get home faster to watch the finale of ABDC!
