HTC CEO HAS HEART FOR WINDOWS MOBILE

HTC CEO Peter Chou spoke with Forbes about HTC and Android devices. Chou explains that the HTC HD 2 will not support an Android operating system. In his interview the CEO explains, "we could make HD 2 an Android phone, but I have to take care of Windows Mobile." This makes sense on all levels as HTC has done business with Microsoft for 13 years and Google is new on the mobile scene. This might also be an interesting strategy as Windows Mobile prepares for it's release of 6.5, and WinMo 7 thereafter in early 2010. For me this goes back to the early adage "Don't put all your eggs in one basket." [via EngadgetMobile] |
