As Sprint reports a Q3 loss, the company is doing everything in it's power to stay in the mobile market. Yesterday Sprint talked about it's future in the smartphone market, particularly 2010. Sprint has also announced it's dedication to Microsoft and Windows Mobile, but explains they want WinMo 6.5 and 7 but are dependent on Microsofts release of the OS. With these WinMo updates smartphones such as the HTC Touch Pro 2 and the HTC Touch Diamond will receive much needed bug fixes. The company also spoke about their relationship with Google's Android. They first want to be able to send OTA updates to the HTC Hero and the Samsung Moment, and later want to team up with HTC to produce more Android powered handsets probably running Eclair. Lastly Sprint plans to add more BlackBerry devices to their inventory. Sprint wants to add a Wi-Fi enabled BlackBerry tour to it's lineup as well as other Wi-Fi enabled BlackBerry handsets. During the online chat Sprint also spoke about other topics such as wireless plans, products such as the Airave and WiMax phones. There was little talk about WebOS and the Palm Pre or Pixi.
