With its popularity growing daily, Twitter has become a massive social networking tool that has attracted both the general public and celebrities alike. It can be accessed anywhere, and most people choose to whip out their cell phone and “tweet” what they are doing or seeing at any given moment. Below are five iPhone twitter apps to help make “twittering” that much easier, faster, and more enjoyable.

1.     Twitfire
Twitfire is the latest and greatest when it comes to iPhone twitter apps. It allows you to do a whole whack of things, some of which include:
  • Take a picture with your iPhone camera or choose an existing picture from your library and Twitfire will upload it to twitpic.com and insert the URL in your tweet.
  • Browse the web and insert links using the built in web browser. Twitfire will automatically shorten the url before inserting it into your tweet
  • Send your current location to Twitter.
  • Insert a Google Map URL to your current location
  • Browse and @ reply your followers
  • Shake the iPhone or iPod touch to erase a tweet and start over
This app will set you back $2.99.
2.     Mobypicture
Mobypicture is a photo hosting and posting tool for twitter that is available for the iPhone. With your Moby account, you can enter your Twitter information easily and select the option “also post to twitter.” Mobypicture will instantly distribute your mobile content to Twitter, Flick, Tumbly, Wordpress, and so on and so on. In its latest 1.5 version, Mobypicture has added the following features:

You can search, check nearby tweets and trends, create custom sub-groups of people you follow, and more. You can customize with personal skins, create a friends list to make it easy to reply or direct message someone.
Twittelator Pro costs $5 but it definitely the biggest and baddest app out there.

4.     Twitterfon
Twitterfon is an easy-to-use, straightforward app that is full of features and functions. You can search, go profile diving, upload pictures and more. It can load hundreds of tweets in only seconds, and its easy to read with a funky and cool layout.
Again, the best part of this app is that it’s FREE!
5.     Twittervision

Twittervision is a cool iPhone twitter app that lets you check out the
tweets of people around the world. It “bounces” you around the globe,
following random, geo-located tweets in real time. You can also see who is
tweeting aound you! Maybe not the most practically app but extremely
cool and different nonetheless.

Even if you think you will only use this app once, it’s ok because it’s free!
