THE LG GT450

This week, at CES, LG announced a new Android headest called the LG GT450 Android Phone. The phone has been touted as a "specialized social networking smartphone" and is aimed at first-time smartphone users. This means, I guess, that it is easy to navigate and simple to figure out (something we want from most phones, no?). The LG GT450 is supposed to be a quick and easy way to access your social networking files, such as Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and more. Expected to be launched worldwide in April 2010, the GT450 will include specs such as the following:

  • Android 2.0
  • 3-megapixel camera
  • microSD card expansion
  • Google Maps, Google Search, Gmail and YouTube
  • Android Market

The GT450 will be available in a wide range of colours for both guys and girls, will feature a 3-megapixel caera, support for up to 32GB microSD storage, along with Google Maps, Google Search, Gmail, YouTube, and the Android Market. It also features media playback.

Not many more specs have been released about the 450, but from what little has been released, it doesn't seem too shabby for a basic smartphone, and is perfect for teens and tweens. It may not be a Blackbery or iPhone, but if you're looking for a basic smartphone with all the goodies you could want, the LG GT450 is a great little device. As you can see by looking at the picture below, the phone is compact with a large, clear screen for easy reading and networking.

The new phone will be available for retail around the world from April 2010. However, the price has not been announced just yet.
