SAMSUNG U450 INTENSITY COMING TO VERIZON

Today Verizon Wireless announced that it will now be carrying the Samsung Intensity u450 on its network. The Intensity is a basic dual-band CDMA messaging-focused phone that features a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard for use with its mobile IM, email, and threaded SMS messaging systems.

The Intensity boasts a 2.1-inch, 176 x 220 pixel 262k color TFT display. The phone weighs 100g (3.5oz) and measures 108mm x 53mm x 16.5mm (4.3in x 2.1in x .7in) in size. The 2G Intensity's battery is rated for 5 hours of talk time or 12.5 days of standby time.

In terms of features the Intensity offers a 1.3 megapixel camera with a dedicated shutter button, video recording and digital zoom, as well as support as well as support for popular Verizon services like V CAST Music with Rhapsody and Verizon's GPS powered VZ Navigator system.Music can  also be synchronized to the Intensity over a USB connection to a desktop computer and the music can be stored on microSD cards as large as 16GB in size.

The Samsung Intensity is available for $29.99 with a new 2-year agreement, after an instant online rebate of $50. It is available in two color schemes, one with red highlights, the other with gray.
