find the persons number you want to send an email to and know what carrier they use2
When composing your email message in the 'To:' field insert the 10 digit number (3 digit area code + 7 digit number)and depending on the your friends carrier use the carrier specific email address3

Cricket: 'phonenumber'@sms.mycricket.com
MetroPCS: 'phonenumber'@mymetropcs.com
