How To Free Memory In Your Blackberry And Speed Up Your Device

check the amount of memory available in your device. select options menu, then status, once in status check how much free memory you have. This will let you know how much space you have and how much you will want to free up. At least 10MB is a good about of space

Go to options, advanced options, and select applications. Erase any applications you do not need on your device. Make sure to check the BlackBerry website for programs needed on your device. Delete as many applications as possible, and then restart your device.

When running applications temporary files get stored in a folder in your device and sometimes files never get deleted. Here we will set up our device to clear the temporary folder automatically. Select the options menu, select security settings, and select the memory cleaning menu.

Set the status to enabled to allow memory cleaning. Now you device will clean the temporary memory when idle. Select the increments in which you want your memory to be cleaned and you're all set. You can also add an icon to the desktop if you don't want your memory to be cleaned automatically for easy access.

  • Only remove applications you know your device doesn't require to operate.
