slide the screen up to reveal the keyboard2
there is a small latch/tab holding the back cover in place. It is to the left of the "Q" key as you look down on the device. Insert your finger nail between this latch and the device and gently pry open.3
Once the tab releases there is nothing else holding the back cover in place except for friction. gently pull the cover off. Turn the phone over, remove the battery and slide the sim card out

i locked my g1 phone now its saying android it will not allow me to create an new g mail account can u please help me i just payed 30 dollars 2 get it fix and it happened 2 me again once i did the hard reset because i couldnt use my g mail account it locking me out the hole phone i cant create or use my old gmail account please help me
