This is an overview of how one could write applications for the iphone. This is a mystery to me and collecting the data has been a very interesting journey. Obviously this is programming. Idea->plan->development tool->compiler->testing->marketing and release. I worked for a software company for a couple of years. We did Computer aided drafting and Manufacturing so it was slightly different from this. |

Go to the iphone development center. 2
Register as an applications developer.3
Create and Apple Id. If you already have one sign in with that.4
Apple will then send you an email that you have become a registered developer. 5
Within the body of the email it will have you download their software development kit.6
If you are a man fight the urge to power through without reading the Readme article.7
Partitioning the drive to have Mac OS X run may be necessary.8
There are 4 hours of videos that you can use to become more familiar with Apple's SDK. So if you have been wondering how to do it. This will make you more aware of the possibilities.9
There are also meetings that you can go to that Apple has in various cities around the country that exhibit some of the cutting edge capabilities and software that is being used in the Iphone.10
Fortune favors the brave. If this is what you like to do this would also let you test and market your applications at the itunes store.11
So with this brief overview of getting started with applications at Apple the next step may be the first step of the baddest app out there. Happy programming and just be aware of the problems that occur between the interface of the computer and the chair.
