If your Blackberry smartphone features Wi-Fi capabilities, then you can connect to a Wi-Fi network automatically or manually. However, you have to begin by scanning for available Wi-Fi networks. Here's how to scan for available Wi-Fi networks on your BlackBerry Smartphone.

Things You'll Need:

  • BlackBerry smartphone

Begin by clicking Set Up Wi-Fi on your BlackBerry.

Then click Next to proceed.

Click Turn Wi-Fi on if prompted.

Click the appropriate Wi-Fi network from the list of available Wi-Fi networks.

Fill in the and specify the required security credentials

Then click Connect to connect to the Wi-Fi network.

Click Yes in the Save this Wi-Fi Network as a Profile field to save the Wi-Fi network connection as a profile.

Type a profile name in the Profile Name field and click Next.

To complete the connection to an available Wi-Fi network, click Finish.

 

Tips & Warnings
  • The BlackBerry smartphone can connect to a Wi-Fi network without saving that Wi-Fi network connection as a profile. However, the BlackBerry smartphone user will be rquired to complete Set Up Wi-Fi with each subsequent connection to that Wi-Fi network.
