Go to your Gmail account and enable IMAP. First, log-in to your Gmail account and then go to Settings2
Click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP, then click "Enable IMAP."3
Now you need to configure your IMAP settings on your iPhone. Tap Settings and then tap Mail on your Apple iPhone.4
Then click the Add Account option.5
Click Other and enter your name6
then put the Host Name, which is: imap.gmail.com and enter your full Gmail account address7
Now you need to set up the Outgoing Mail Server, or SMTP. 8
put: smtp.gmail.com under the Host Name and then save all of your changes.
Tips & Warnings
- Gmail messages that you delete using the iPhone will be moved to the "Trash" folder in Gmail and will automatically be permanently deleted within 30 days if you do not move them elsewhere.
