You can begin using this application if the Google Talk icon is already on your home screen after you register your BlackBerry smartphone. If not then simply browse to http://mobile.blackberry.com on your BlackBerry device and select Google Talk from the list.

First you need to check your handset's system requirements to ensure your smartphone will support Google Talk.

If your handset is fulfills the system requirements Then you can proceed to download and install Google Talk.

Now that you’ve installed Google Talk for BlackBerry smartphones, you need to a Gmail account. If you already have one, then you can use the same username and password to sign into Google Talk on your phone.

Now you need to click the Google Talk icon on your BlackBerry device home screen.

Then enter your Gmail username and password. Click the ‘Sign-in’ button

You can start adding friends after you have signed in. Simply click the trackwheel or trackball on the Google Talk Friends screen. Click "Add a Friend" and type your contact's email address in the ‘User name’ field. Click OK to complete the process.

You may start communicating with your frinds once you've signed in and added contacts. To start a conversation with a friend, simply choose a Friend who’s online and click on their name on the Google Talk Friends screen. Click "Start Conversation' and type a message.
