The new Motorola DROID X is packed with cool features including the a 4.3-inch screen with WVGA resolution (854x480 resolution, 400,000 pixels), 1 GHZ Texas Instruments OMAP3630 processor, Android 2.1 and an 8 megapixel camera with HD video capture and playback. This device can also function as a WiFi hotspot. Here are some simple steps on how to use the Motorola DROID X as a WiFi hotspot.

Begin by tapping the Applications icon form the Motorola DROID X home screen

Then tap 3G Mobile Hotspot

Tap 3G Mobile Hotspot to start Mobile Hotspot service

Read the Wireless & networks warning. Tap OK to accept

Tap Wireless password and enter your wireless password

Tap Done and tap Save

 

Tips & Warnings
  • You can adjust additional AP settings by tapping each setting and selecting your preferences
  • Using the Motorola DROID X as a WiFi hotspot will drain your battery more quickly. Running this application with charger connected will prevent battery drain.
