INTEGRATED NFC TO BE INCLUDED IN THE UPCOMING IPHONE 5?

 

A number of Android smartphones have already shipped with near field communication (NFC) and have already taken advantage of the applications of this technology with Google Wallet and Android Beam. However, it appears that Apple is also planning to include this capability in the next-generation iPhone.

T-MOBILE TO LAUNCH THE LG OPTIMUS 2X AS THE G2X?

 

Here's a nice rumor for T-Mobile subscribers. Remember the LG Optimus 2X with its 1Ghz Dual-core Processor (NVIDIA Tegra 2), 4-inch WVGA screen, and 8 megapixel rear camera? Well, this upcoming Android smartphone appears to be headed for the T-Mobile line-up.

The folks at TMoNews have obtained a leaked internal LG document suggesting that the fourth largest US carrier will launch the LG Optimus 2X as the T-Mobile G2X.

APPLE’S IOS 4.3 BRINGS ITUNES HOME SHARING AND MOBILE HOTSPOT TO THE IPHONE

 

Apple has introduced the iPad 2 and the latest software update for its iDevices. The latest iteration of iOS will be available on March 11th to all iPad, iPhone (GSM), and iPod touch (3rd & 4th generation) owners.

The new  iOS 4.3 offers a number of new features to Apple's iDevices including a new Photobooth app, Home Sharing, improved JavaScript rendering, AirPlay improvements and the mobile hotspot feature.

Apple has released the latest software update for the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 2nd generation, iPod touch 3rd generation, and iPod touch 4th generation to the public. iOS 4.1 provides a number of new features including High Dynamic Range (HDR) image capture, Game Center and HD video uploads over WiFi

  • 3.2 million iPhone activations in second quarter, a company record

To put this into perspective, Apple sold around 6 million of the iPhone original over a span of 15 months (5 quarters). As well, 3.2 million activations is almost 10 times as many as the 3GS had upon its release. So in just shy of a month, 3.2 million iPhone(4?)s have been activated.

Having used LastPass Free for a little while now, I finally caved, upgraded to premium and installed the app to see how well it translates to the iPhone. Basically, LastPass is a simple program that vaults all of your passwords and, once saved to your vault, will auto-fill and remember passwords for you. Simple enough, yes, but it also has some great features that make it unique in the "password-remembering industry," as well as just being incredibly easy to use.
