A compact but powerful smartphone will be available for AT&T subcribers later this month. AT&T has announced that it will offer the new HP Veer 4G starting on May 15 for $99.99 on contract.
The HP Veer 4G runs on WebOS 2.1 and features a diminutive design that is "the size of a credit card and no thicker than a deck of cards." It sports a 2.6-inch multitouch display (320x400 resolution), a slide-out QWERTY keypad and a 5-megapixel camera.
It appears that AT&T will offer HP's petite webOS smartphone. This rumor originated from an event invitation to a launch party for the HP Veer on May 2nd in California. Apparently, folks who sent in an affirmative RSVP for the event, received instructions via email to bring an ID badge or a business card from AT&T or Best Buy.
