01234 Solid Low Cost Phone!, Tuesday, December 2, 2008 - 09:20

The Quickfire is a fantastic phone for heavy texters and touch screen enthusiasts. The slide out QWERTY keyboard is wonderful with color backlighting options. The interface was easy to use. The OS is very fast. Its menu icons are similar to the iPhone a bit. It is only $99 dollars with 2 year contract and $50 rebates which is GREAT. It has 3G and world phone support. The internet browser is very quick as well as the AT&T video. The world phone feature is great! It looks like a SmartPhone which is trendy. Email is very fast to set up. The keyboard has an outstanding feel and durability. The phone is a bit bulky, I wish it was smaller, it would be so much more beautiful.

PROs:

- The slide out QWERTY keyboard is outstanding with variety of color backlighting options
- Phone has a good and durable feel
- Really good texting phone
- Low Cost affordable
- User interface is easy to use
- Email is great.
- Screen size is big
- Buttons on the screen are decent size
- HSDPA speed
- Stereo Bluetooth
- GPS support
- A full HTML browser

CONs:

- Camera pictures is okay
- Touch screen can be a bit slow to respond
- A bit bulky
- No Bluetooth for file transfers from phone to phone

Overall, the AT&T Quickfire is a fantastic text messaging phone with satisfying features and intuitive controls. It is a great phone because you are able to navigate with the directional pads, perfect for teens and adults as well. The 99$ with 50$ rebate with a new contract from AT&T is a super great deal!

- No headphone jack
-Sometimes the keyboard is hard to press.

01234 Great for Texting!, Monday, December 15, 2008 - 08:54

The AT&T Quickfire is a basic phone with a lot of good features. The touch screen has great colors and is very responsive. It's fast and easy for me to text. This phone's great for texting! Since I text a lot than make calls, I love this phone. The Quickfire manages mobile IM and email well though it lacks threaded SMS.

PROS:

bright display
touch screen works good
easy to use
good reception
clear calls
good sound quality
good browser
good keyboard ? very easy to text

CONS:
a bit bulky
touch screen was not responsive sometimes
poor camera quality
lacks WiFi

Despite the cons, I think the Quickfire is the best texting phone I've had. The phone's features work very well.
