The lg neon worked ok for me.
I enjoyed the camera, I found it to work rather well.
But sometimes my lg neon turns off randomely.
I don't like that the touch screen is only for dialing numbers.
Its rather lame.
And when I wanted to record my songs and put them as a ringtone, it didnt let me. It only lets it if it was downloaded. So that was dumb.
But at least its good for texting!

01234 What a JOKE!, Tuesday, April 7, 2009 - 11:57

How much coding would it take to add touch features for the icons and moving the text cursor? MINIMAL! In fact, I bet it was just disabled.

Also they crippled the MicroSD so that you are REQUIRED to have your video and audio files in particular directories to see them. What a PITA!

Minor annoyance is no dictionary. Doesn't come with headset (proprietary jack) and thus no radio since it need it for an antenna. Haven't figured out how to backup the phone's memory yet if it can even be done. Also doesn't come with a data cable.

..You wanna by a car, cheep?
..It's a nice looking car.
..It comes with seats, but you can't use them while driving.
..Has air, but you can't use it when it's hot.
..It has heat, but you can't use it when it's cold.
..But the mirror works all the time, so you can look good in it! :D
..Oh and the retractable roof only retracts when there are a flock of birds above ready to cr*p on ya!

BAHAHAHAHAHA!

If you don't mind the fact that you are paying for stuff you aren't getting, it appears to be a good phone. Had it for a week now. People can't hear me so well on the speaker phone. Minimal manual. Haven't tried web access but I bet no touch screen on that either.

I like the weight (light), the keyboard and battery life is better then the Nokia 6555 I had before.

One thing I *REALLY* like about the phone is that I can return it. Oh wait, that isn't part of the phone!!

01234 QWERTY TOUCHY, Tuesday, March 10, 2009 - 17:09

Could compete with the SideKick and I agree this phone is made for teens.
Though it is a touch phone, sometimes it requires QWERTY keyboard to be used.

01234 Phone, Friday, March 20, 2009 - 14:42

I had the Sidekick 3 and it broke on me twice. I am getting this phone instead of another sidekick. The sidekick has to much stuff wrong with it. This phone is a lot better than the Sidekick.

01234 Looks like we'll have an Adroid device with decent hardware, Tuesday, March 10, 2009 - 15:50

Looks like a very interesting messaging device. Some say that this device will rival the iPhone and it will run on Android. The design appears to be targeted towards young users much like the Sidekicks. It doesn't seem to be a high-end device and it's rumored to be headed for AT&T so I'm not sure if its meant to compete with the iPhone. I sure hope that LG Neon won't meet the same faith as the Quickfire. It has a nice set of features but the 2.0 megapixel camera seems a bit low to me. With all those monster camera phone being launched, I thought we won't see any 2 Mp camera on phones for this year. On the other hand, maybe its meant to be an affordable handset hence the 2 Mp camera. I' m hoping to know more about the LG Neon and confirm if its really heading for AT&T or if it will run on Android.

01234 Android Messaging Phone?, Tuesday, March 10, 2009 - 14:02

So the LG Neon seems like an interesting idea. Apparetnly, this is going to be LG's first Android handset. From the way it is designed, it looks like LG is hoping the teenage crowd will ditch their Sidekicks for it. This is an interesting strategy considering Android (AKA the G1) has been positioned to directly compete with the iPhone. I'll be curious to see how the LG Neon actually performs. Rumor has it that it will be launching on Rogers.
