01234 Blackerry Pearl, Saturday, December 20, 2008 - 08:43

The Pizza at Uno's was great and then it was time for everyone else to chat while I played with the blackberry Pearl. It does have wifi but no 3G. It has a slim design compared to the other blackberry's but I had a hard time getting used to the keypad. I think with a couple of days of use this would be an acceptable keypad but I am used to the QWERTYY board. So if your in the maket for a slimmed down smartphone this is a fairly ok one with most of the features you are looking for. But if you are an avid crackberry user I don't know how much you will like it. It probably deserves a once around to see how the keyboard suits you but other than that it does have the majority of the features you will need in a smartphone. The scroller is responsive and fairly easy to navigate but I don't know that that makes up for the keyboard. So if you have sausages for fingers much like me and shrek then you might try a different phone but my sister-in-law liked it ok.

01234 I fell in love with BlackBerry Pearl 8120, Wednesday, October 29, 2008 - 06:38

Lately, I upgraded my BlackBerry Pearl 8100 to a NEW BlackBerry Pearl 8100. I really wanted the girly white. Later my new Pearl was giving a major difficulty, I took it back to the store, but since they’re allegedly doing away with the 8100, the white was all sold out. Thus, I decided to finally let go and get the BlackBerry Pearl 8120. In the beginning, I was doubtful, particularly since it’s that hideous gray color. But I was over it and now I’m in love! PROS: improved SureType, video camera, excellent sound quality, external media card slot, clear and great camera, improved media folder, WiFi, keys and navigation are easy to use, customizations are endless, comes with AIM sounds. CONS: loose battery cover, reboots when phone was dropped, and vibration is weak. The cons are little that they’re not worth mentioning. Generally, I fell in love with this phone! I would recommend for first time BlackBerry user or as a BlackBerry upgrade. I certainly give it 5 stars.

01234 Amazing Phone!, Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 08:24

If you’re searching to get your first Smartphone or upgrading your existing Pearl, you’re going to love the Pearl 8120.

The Blackberry Pearl 8120 contains the Hotspot@Home service, which works on any existing Wi-Fi connection. You don’t have to pay an extra service fee or buy another router. It just works. You can connect at any Hotspot anytime. I’ve even used it on the university wireless network. Even I have no reception in a particular area; I just activate the Wifi if I want to make a call. Battery life is also a little short, to solve this you must recharge your battery every night or buy extra battery. The Blackberry Pearl 8120 is a great update to the original Pearl.

01234 Lovely Phone!, Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 08:27

I lately purchased the Blackberry Curve from T-Mobile. I was very thrilled and contented with my purchase. That was until one of my colleagues showed me her Blackberry Pearl 8120 which is just a more compact version of the Curve. Needless to say, the Pearl was as easy to use and just as quick. The Pearl had video caption capability while the curve doesn?t have. The battery was the similar and the picture quality was up to same level. I?m very excited to replace my Curve to Pearl. I have it with me now and I?m very satisfied. The Blackberry Pearl 8120: Highly recommended phone.

01234 So Far So Good, Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 08:29

I just had my Pearl 8120 last week. So far so good. I am absolutely pleased with my purchase.
I am very impressed and pleasantly surprised by the ease of use. The Blackberry Pearl 8120 is a compact, easy-to-use design, and has hi-resolution display. The side buttons are easy to push when talking on the phone or plugging in the hands free headset. One of which activates the camera and the other customizable. Overall the phone shines in all aspects thus far. There is no windows mobile on the pearl, but the OS seems to run faster. I have charged the battery every other day, which appears sensible given that I have used it for expansively for voice and data. All in all, there is nothing to really dislike about this phone, at least for the first time Smartphone buyer. Personally, I was looking for a Smartphone to browse the internet, check my email, and take clear pictures and one that would fit in my shirt pocket. The Blackberry 8120 delivers on all these aspects. T-Mobile’s inexpensive data plan only includes to its appeal.

01234 Best BlackBerry Phone Ever!, Wednesday, October 29, 2008 - 05:27

The Blackberry Pearl 8120 is the total package. It has Wi-Fi and great internet and email access, it’s my pc away from home. It has great reception and the call quality is amazing. The camera takes great pictures, totally clear Battery has tendency to run down fast but I recommend a backup battery and turning odd wifi when not in use. Simple operation and user interface. Very user friendly. I truly like the Blackberry OS. It supports Google maps and third party applications which can be downloaded online. The RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8120 has an integrated Wi-Fi and works with T-Mobile’s HotSpot@Home service which is a neat feature. The solid smartphone also has an improved Web browser and a 2-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities. I am recommending this phone to everyone!!!

Here?s why: adore the wifi, great camera, video recording is a breeze to use, enhanced and improved Suretype is outstanding, and improved speakerphone and call quality.
Great phone, much improved than Blackberry Curve and all the other BlackBerry Pearls in the market.

01234 Almost perfect, Wednesday, October 29, 2008 - 06:43

I have upgraded from my old Pearl 8100 to the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 when it came out for at&t. The whole thing about it is just as great as the first Pearl, but with a few enhancements and improvements. I love the hardware upgrades of the 3.5" jack and the easy to use media card slot. The bigger keys for the send, end, menu, and escape buttons which is a good improvement. All of the keys on the 8120 seem sturdier than those on the 8100 so I was able to type even quicker on these keys. I set up WiFi for my work and home and it works flawlessly. RIM also improved the SureType operation which is a major PLUS. As for cons, I do notice a slight hiss during calls and the vibrate seems to beweaker. These cons are small; almost not worth mentioning. Overall, I absolutely love BlackBerry Pearl 8120 and I highly recommend it.

01234 The improved BlackBerry Pearl 8120 is awesome!, Wednesday, October 29, 2008 - 06:45

When I received the original BlackBerry Pearl 8120, I loved it but it was missing a few key things to make it as close to perfect as you can get for a mobile phone. Here are the pros and cons:

Pros: Wi-Fi- works very well; Video capture is great; MicroSD - much better, Keypad - the buttons seem bigger and not as fragile as the first Pearl; 2 megapixel camera - I think it?s a important enhancement over the first; Flash is brighter as well; Menu - for the most part it?s the same. Cons: Calls over Wi-Fi - I’ve only had the phone for a few weeks and I use it for calls about 70% of the time at work over Wi-Fi. I ought to give it more time before I consider this a con already, but it has dropped a few calls. Besides that, there are no other cons that I’ve found. On the whole: The BlackBerry Pearl 8120 is a fantastic phone! If you?re considering upgrading from the 8100 or even as your first blackberry, I highly recommend BlackBerry Pearl 8120 above all other models.

01234 BlackBerry Pearl 8120 ? Awesome Phone!, Wednesday, October 29, 2008 - 06:47

The BlackBerry Pearl 8120, I must say, A TOTAL PACKAGE! I do a lot of bike riding and I adore the stereo blue tooth. The Wi-Fi is unexpected surprise as well, very fast internet browsing experience I?ve had on a phone. Setup was easy; the most difficult thing was finding the pop3 server info from my ISP mail server. The 5x zoom for the 2-MP camera and video is excellent for a phone camera. I was also moving some music files and music videos and they played very well. The sounds are excellent. The size is slim and the design is sophisticated. The titanium finish makes it a classic, executive look. The BlackBerry Pearl 8120 is a great phone!

01234 Best Blackberry Phone!, Wednesday, October 29, 2008 - 06:56

I can?t get enough of BlackBerry Pearl 8120. For all the phones I have, this one really stood out. It has all the functionality and features, a business person like me aims for.

The keyboard of BlackBerry Pearl 8120 is essentially the best I have ever used. It feels natural and the sure type predictive text is superb. The camera is 2 mp with flash which takes decent and detailed pictures. Flash is a lot brighter than previous models. I love that it has external Micro SD slot that I can store music and pictures on phone very easily compared to last version. The Wi-Fi works great even though I do not make many of calls over Wi-Fi and do not have tmo’s hotspot at home. The Wi-Fi does make my internet surfing faster and give me 5 bars near an access point. Interface and message service is very easy to navigate and I can use 3rd party applications. Email is great and threaded messages are flawless. The cons I have for this phones are smaller screen, no touch screen, and no 3g. But overall, BlackBerry Pearl 8120 rocks! I heartily recommend it to everyone!
