01234 Sleek, thin and feature packed but no 3G, Thursday, January 29, 2009 - 16:24

I can't wait for the February launch of the Blackberry Curve 8900. It's a shame that I'm not a business customer so I'm unable to preorder it. But hey, it's only a few weeks wait and I can finally get my hands on the latest Curve. One of the great things about this new Smartphone is its thin profile which means that I can easily slip it into my pocket. Unlike most slim handsets, the Blackberry Curve 8900 is solidly built. Its back resembles brushed aluminum even if it's actually very durable plastic. And I'd bet that it'll be great to see that high resolution display in action. The Blackberry Curve 8900 also has a 3 megapixel camera with auto-focus, flash and digital zoom which is significantly better than the camera on other Curve models. I'm looking forward to snapping a few photos when I get my hands on the 8900. This handset also offers the usual slew of features found in RIM Smartphones. The Blackberry Curve 8900 provides Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS and brings new productivity tools, a full HTML Web browser. However, I can't still figure out why RIM did not make this a 3G device. The Bold has 3G so why not the 8900? It's a Smartphone so it should be able to let me browse the web smoothly. Sadly, the lack of 3G means a slower mobile web experience. T-Mobile's 3G network is still in its infancy but I still would prefer to have 3G on my Blackberry Curve 8900.

01234 Can't Wait!, Wednesday, December 17, 2008 - 12:53

It's great that RIM build such a small device that contains so much performance. It's a lot smaller than Bold. The Blackberry Curve 8900 seems to have the advanced multi-media and phone features I wanted. Still has the familiar bar style with full QWERTY keyboard but the trackball navigation makes the BlackBerry 8900 the most user friendly designs so far. The microSD slot is good for up to 16GB. Also include the 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus, GPS, and stereo Bluetooth great for playing back videos or your whole music collection. It has Wifi capability and WAP 2.0 browser which is fantastic!

Can't wait to upgrade.

01234 I can't wait till it is released!, Monday, February 9, 2009 - 17:11

I have always wanted to buy an blackberry since I enjoy sending and receiving emails on the go. I like how the blackberry Curve is pretty stylish and will fit easily in my pocket. It's not 3g, which is too bad, but like how it has a 3.2 megapixel camera. I'm also looking at the blackberyry bold, but I leaning to buying this Curve. I can't wait till it is released.
