Blackberry Pearl 8130 in Red or Amethyst

I had to write a bit about the Blackberry 8130 because basically I think consumers usually vocalize frustrations with technology and products, but often fail to praise a product when it performs to expectations or beyond, because we take it for granted. It’s human nature, like a reliable friend or a girlfriend that always desires you. The Blackberry 8130 is undeniably a phone that exceeded my expectations and is simply sublime. I have owned two previous models of blackberry and this is the bomb. The push email never ceases to amaze and is always reliable, the clarity of reception, the ease of the keyboard, the great design, the camera, the gps navigation system and so on. Battery life is superior to the iphone and most other PDAs my friends have and the interface is simple and user friendly. This is by far one of the best Smartphones on the market and for the price it’s unparalleled. I heart Blackberry 8130.

I’d have to say that this is one of the best smartphones in the market. The Blackberry Pearl 8130 adds improvement to an already formidable RIM device.

The impressive Blackberry Pearl 8130 offers a wide range of features such as stereo Bluetooth, GPS, push email, SureType keypad, EV-DO data, memory card slotand video-recording. It also has a decent 2 megapixel camera with video capture and a large display. Truly a world class smartphone.

Unfortunately, the Blackberry Pearl 8130 is not a perfect device. It took a while before I got used to the SureType keyboard. The trackball has also been a problem with my 8130 especially when dust has clogged it up. The battery life also didn’t last very long especially after I used the wireless apps. The device has video-recording and playback capabilities but I have observed that the video playback is inferior compared with other handsets.

But taking all into account, the Blackberry Pearl 8130 is clearly one of the top smartphones in the market.

i live by this phone. i love the functionality it packs in the size. The particularly nice function that the engineers at blackberry should be praised for is the fact that it pulls words from your address book into quicktype. I love this feature.
