User Reviews2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: A great Update to the Original, Friday, October 17, 2008 - 16:43I like this phone because it?s a lot better than the first Chocolate, the VX8500. This phone has a unique slider design and attractive look. It?s sleek and sexy with great multimedia features like the digital music player.
This device offers a vibrating touch pad and a mechanical scroll wheel with trace motion light. The LG chocolate also offers a great camera which takes impressive features considering its resolution. I also love the large and vibrant 2.2 inch display.
However, there are also a few flaws to this elegant mobile phone. It may be difficult to navigate the phone if the user isn?t used to a touchpad. I feel that a tactile keypad would be much easier even though its less attractive.
I also don?t like the fact that you have to pay more money to get the microSD card and USB cable. You need to get the Music Set if you want these useful accessories.

Great phone!, Tuesday, October 28, 2008 - 06:36The navigation wheel is splendid. It is very practical that you are able to click as well as rotate it like those of iPods. The touch or vibrating keys are very pleasing. The menu and capabilities/features are very refreshing and revolutionary. The feature I love the most is different menus/customizations capabilities such as display, sound, themes, call, and menu settings just to name a few. Also, one of my favorite features is when receiving songs via TXT message there?s an option to "save as a sound" and "save as a ringtone" which are surprising and very useful.
Reception is excellent. There were no complaints from people on the other end. The call volume in the earpiece is clear. I haven?t used the speakerphone, so I can’t confirm to that.
Using the phone as mp3 player, the sound is awesome and clear. It is nice that you can use it without headphones. On the other hand, the one major thing I don?t like about this phone, the songs are sorted in alphabetical order - even if you select to play by Album. I organized them by renaming the songs on my computer with the song number first since I can?t find any other way than that. This is frustrating to me, but truthfully, is a very minor complaint with the overall quality of the phone.
The battery Life is good. I used the phone for approximately 80 minutes of talk time, an hour of surfing the web to search ringtones, and almost 2 hours of MP3 playing and I was still able to go 3 days between charges.
On the whole, a truly brilliant phone and I highly recommend it.

Chocolate Phone, Friday, February 27, 2009 - 04:07This phone is very sexy and appealing. It has the mysterious look when it's on standby and I, being one of those people who prefer trendy and stylish devices, has been captivated very easily. The name 'LG Chocolate' also sounds nice and I can't resist buying this phone.
At first I thought this phone is real nice and all, having that perfect look, sensitive keypads, and all the features you would want in the phone -- Music player, memory card slot, stereo bluetooth and camera. Unfortunately, for those who are really after great functionality and outstanding features, this phone is not for you. The camera is not that good since it's only 1.3 megapixel but that can be set aside. What really my problem is: the battery life seems to be so short, the sound quality is merely satisfactory and the super sensitive keypads are starting to be annoying.
I would say that this phone is only for show because it's only good to look at but problems pop-up when you start to use it.
