01234 Great Phone, Tuesday, September 2, 2008 - 11:31

Have had this phone for two weeks and so far only complaint is getting used to the flat screen keyboard. I’m sure I’ll overcome this with practice. Other than that, incredible phone. My buddy with an iPhone was envious of the camera and phone build in general. Call quality, battery life all excellent. Trying out the navigation service which proved very useful on recent vacation to Outer Banks, NC. Intuitive interface for navigation is better than google maps - but it does cost $10 per month. Worthwhile I think for the convenience and better interface. If you are a verizon customer, you won’t go wrong with this phone.

I love it. It’s powerful and customizable. I definitely don’t have iPhone envy with this device. Best phone I’ve ever purchased!

This phone seems awesome. Love the sytle and 3.2 megapixel camera. Was hoping it had wi-fi, but I can live without it. I think this is my next phone.

01234 Great touch screen phone!, Monday, October 27, 2008 - 09:36

First thing I noticed about this phone is that it?s very light and smaller than I?m expecting. It is lighter and smaller than my sister?s Iphone. I love the size since I have small hands. :D

The LG Dare is my first phone with today?s touch screen mania. I have no problems with LG Dare?s touch screen since it is very responsive with just a tap (not too hard, not to soft). When you touch the screen, it give you a slight feedback vibration to let you know that you touched a button, as well as a nice "beep" (which can be turned on or off). I find the feedback vibration very pleasing.

Texting is very easy. You can use either the T9 or rotate the phone and the screen will flip almost immediately to show a full QWERTY keyboard. I recommend calibrating the touch screen using a stylus. It makes it more responsive and accurate then with a finger for calibrating.

This is certainly one of the best Verizon User Iinterface! You perhaps have noticed by now that except for a few LG phones all Verizon phones have the same casual red menu interface.

Also there is screen lock button in the upper right hand corner that is simple to push to lock the phone before placing it into your pocket or purse.

Call quality is excellent. The speaker is very crips and clear. The microphone is also great as well as the reception.
This phone is NOT a smart phone. To me this is a great because smart phones needed Data plans that cost a lot.

Surfing the web, it is not too bad. For a 3G phone that does not have a data plan though this thing is astonishing. I was able to watch youtube videos, open myspace, facebook and my yahoo mail, gmail without any problem.

The phone has a 3.2 megapixel camera. It takes good-looking pictures, not as good as a standalone camera mind you but simply the best camera phone. Also it records some pretty cool videos with up to 30 Seconds to send via MMS.

T he phone has 200 MB of internal memory for music, plus a 200 MB of internal memory for other data services. This phone also has a micro SDHC memory card reader so that you can play (currently) up to 8 gigs running of the card. Also it should support the 16 gigs when those become available as well. Also, it has a headphone jack on the top of the phone for 3.5mm headphones.

As a music phone, it sounds really good. If you don’t have a standalone MP3 player this will still work great.
I love the ?favorites? feature where you can choose your favorite contacts that will show their faces (you set a pic ID for them). You can drag them around to order them in any way you choose. Once you pick a contact you then have the options to either text, call, or edit their contact details. It?s better than speed dial!

Bottom line, LG Dare is a wonderful and very customizable. Highly recommended phone!

01234 love it, Thursday, August 21, 2008 - 12:13

I can’t believe I went so long without a phone like this. A buddy was bragging about his 3G iPhone until he saw my Dare - especially the camera which rocks...

01234 Completely satisfied, Friday, November 21, 2008 - 12:27

I used the LG Dare for about a month now and I think it is a very powerful phone. I LOVE it! The LG Dare has a wonderful touch-screen interface, 3.2-megapixel camera, a full HTML browser, EV-DO Rev. A, and many more great features. It also has outstanding call quality. I am coming from an LG VX8300.

Pros:
- Very slim and lightweight. You can't even tell that you have a cell phone in your pants.
- Touch screen is very responsive and works great.
- The accelerometer is excellent.
- Low cost for a powerful phone
- Can be charged through any USB port.
- Many options and customization

Cons:
- Charger cable is too short.
- The themes have only two colors: black or white
- No preference to set customized alerts for
- No preference to set reminder alerts for missed calls.
- Not that easy to see the display in under the sun
- Screen id fingerprint magnet

Although there are recommended development, I have to say this is a wonderful phone. The top feature is the HTML browser to which you can access websites as if you were on a computer. It offers full HTM browser. I truly love this phone and you will too.

01234 Great sound quality!, Friday, November 7, 2008 - 07:16

The LG Dare VX is so lightweight and very good looking design. The touch screen does need a bit of patience to get used to as it is very sensitive. Although not perfect, this phone is absolutely worth the upgrade!

Pros:
-fast, clear, and radiant display
-superb sound quality and signal strength
-3.2megapixel camera with longer video per card
-very light, barely even know it’s in your pocket

Cons:
The microSD cover feels a bit fragile.
Key Lock is nice but to "secure lock" your phone you have to go through the menu.
Only 2 themes (black and white).
Fonts seem a bit too big for my taste.

Overall it’s an excellent phone!

01234 lg dare ui sucks, Monday, November 10, 2008 - 10:23

i had a chance to briefly play around with this phone. I thought it was an awkward and clunky design.

It didn't have the smoothness of the G1 or the iPhone. I was a bit disappointed. I can't quite put my finger on it but it was mostly the feeling I got when trying to figure out the User Interface. It wasn't as intuitive as the other touch screen competitors.

01234 Fast..., Tuesday, September 2, 2008 - 11:33

This phone looks great - i think the fact that it is on the Verizon network is going to be a plus, although not an iPhone killer
