01234 A Stylish Boob Tube Handset, Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 16:11

The LG Vu is a great device for users who love mobile TV. I travel a lot so I watch mobile TV a lot to kill some time. It’s also a cool device because it has a large touchscreen display and a sleek and sexy design. It’s not too large and you can proudly display the LG Vu in public.

It’s also a quad-band GSM phone so I can still use it when I visit foreign countries. It has HSDPA speeds so it’s fast and has loads of features including a 2.0-megapixel camera Bluetooth, music player and a microSD card slot for additional storage.

However, I also have a few complaints with the LG Vu. First, like many touchscreen phones it’s surface is a fingerprint magnet and its camera lacks flash. The microSD card slot is not readily accessible because it located under the battery.

Neveretheess, the LG VU is still a great phone because its features and superb performance easily cover up its weaknesses.

01234 Perfect iPhone Alternative, Sunday, November 16, 2008 - 10:56

I used the LG Vu CU915 for a month now. After some troubles with Mobile Email (which I managed by turning Java off and then on again), the phone is truly not too bad. The touch screen could be improved, but if you just want a phone to make calls, text, email, play games, check movie times, sport scores, news, the Vu can do it great.

PROs:
-user-friendly interface and features
-low cost Internet plan for only $15 at AT&T (Optional)
-great and full HTML browsing
-voice commands
-can add apps (Gmail, YouTube, maps)
- lightweight and thin shape
-You can change to 2G for longer battery life (through hidden diagnostics menu only)
-clear and loud speakerphone
-good voice quality
-good reception

CONs:
-3G (short of battery life)
-no Gmail access on Mobile Email app
-no Flash app
-no camera flash
-no Wi-Fi
-can't sync with Outlook
-Bluetooth is not 2.0
-screen locks on calls (irritating on key pressing menus like voicemail)

LG Vu is a real deal. If you're looking for an iPhone alternative, the LG Vu can suit you great, especially since you get FLO, 3G, MMS, Video Capture, Voice Command, Touch Screen, and Video Share capability. I heartily recommend this phone!

01234 AT&T Best Phone!, Thursday, November 13, 2008 - 11:04

I recently replaced my phone with LG Vu and I must say it's WORTH it! I love the battery life. The LG Vu has a wonderful user interface, reception, and sound quality. The mediaflo works great. If you disable the 3g and battery life double. I haven't dropped a call so far and this replaces a SYNC. I simply LOVE it!

Pros:

Light-weight
Great display screen size
Touch screen is responsive
Haptic Feedback is pleasing
Great Call Quality
MediaFLO works awesome
Replaceable Battery
Great camera with auto focus
Live TV
User-friendly system and design
Flawless Speakerphone.

Cons:

Battery life is average
Fragile antenna
No flash
Not insurable
Shortcut screen is not customizable
No internal memory
No media card accessibility from the outside

The LG Vu is not a perfect phone. With anticipation, this will be a great phone in a future software updates. So far, the LG VU works great for me.
