01234 Omnia can beat the Blackberry!, Tuesday, December 9, 2008 - 11:19

I owned the Samsung Omnia for a month now; my husband gave it to me as birthday gift. I was so thankful because this phone rocks! This phone has by far the smoothest and stylish interface I have ever experienced on a Windows Mobile device. The screen was sharp and bright. I adore the optical mouse. The Opera browser was very good.

Pros:
Good looking phone - Exquisite
Great internet browser
Great camera and video recorder
Fast and Stable Operating System
OPTICAL MOUSE is perfect
Good screen
Very Responsive

Cons:
Lacks tabbed browsing
Video playback is a bit slow and choppy
GPS is oaky

Overall, the Samsung Omnia is a great phone. I highly recommend it.

The Samsung Omnia is the best phone I ever had. Trendy, user-friendly, amazing web experience, perfect navigation interface, the GPS is a plus, I will never be lost, and I absolutely love the camera quality ? so powerful and clear. The call quality is superb, the storage is massive. I love the touch screen and beautiful interface does make the windows mobile experience better compared to the phones I?ve had. Overall, excellent phone, with loads of features.

01234 samsung Omnia, Friday, December 5, 2008 - 00:05

The samsung guys have done a good job in the past and this looks like another one for them. It uses windows mobile and it has a 5 Megapixel camera. That is almost as good as the real camera I have. Well, Actually if you put in 400 ISO film and take pictures in good lighting then this camera function on the Omnia and my 35mm are very similar. It has Wi-fi and in general is very functional. If they had this one at sprint I would be very interested in making a 2 year commitment. And believe me that is quite a commitment ask all the girls that dated me. Ok well ask the girls that I wish I had dated but they were just sour grapes anyway. The reason we don't have this on Sprint is that the technology is different. So I hope that Samsung creates one for us too. Then again maybe I can talk the guys at work to spring for this one.

01234 Flaws of Omnia i910, Sunday, May 10, 2009 - 05:52

Do not forget the accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate and handwriting recognition capabilities of this phone, these are definitely a plus on any touchscreen phones. All features are the one I'm looking for in a camera phone, its just that the phone doesn't have a place for stylus, plus the fact that it only has a LED flash on the camera, it will not give enough illumination when taking snapshots in dark scenarios. Don't look for higher MP's on camera since 5MP is enough for snapshots. 10MP or higher are mainly for studio pictures, meaning they can be blown up to bond size pictures. 8MP's enough or even 5 for budget conscious people.

01234 Wow! Omnia does everything!, Monday, March 2, 2009 - 22:14

Upon its release last year, Samsung Omnia was already been compared to iPhone and to other touchscreen phones. Some said it could be the perfect phone and it was better than iPhone. In fact, it is one of the best selling cell phones of 2008.

Behind the flashy ads, what makes Omnia special amidst the other mobile phones out there? Let me enumerate the amazing features of this phone. After you read this review, you may become one of its followers. It simply does everything!

A Touchscreen Phone

Aside from having a slim body and sleek platinum finish, Samsung Omnia is a touchscreen smartphone. Thanks to its TouchWiz technology. You can just tap, sweep, drag and drop to manipulate the screen menus and controls. I also love Omnia?s on-screen QWERTY keyboard that is so sensitive to touch.

A Windows-based Mobile

Omnia is a user-friendly phone because it is packed with Windows Mobile 6.1. It includes a mobile version of Internet Explorer and Microsoft office tools such as Word, Powerpoint and Excel.

Not just an ordinary digital camera

With Omnia?s 5 megapixel camera, you can enjoy taking pictures of you and your loved ones. Unlike the ordinary camera phones, Omnia has face-detection, smile-detection and auto-panorama features. It can also be used as a card reader.

A video recorder

The video of the cell phone allows every user to record videos with clear images. It also supports DIvx and of course video calling (3G).

A music player

In addition to an FM radio, Omnia?s music player plays all common music files and let you enjoy the music anytime and anywhere.

A web-browser

Omnia provides a good browsing experience to its users with the advanced Opera browser. It has also a built-in GPS for navigation.

01234 Great graphics- its, Monday, June 8, 2009 - 13:37

Great graphics- its Windows based which always presents errors. I would advise people to stay away from windows based phones because of all the issues I've heard about in the past. Also as soon as you turn this phone on- you get an unknown error which can't be a good sign. Other than that though- it looks like a pretty decent phone.
