As I just wrote in my blog I got this phone through an employee referral deal from Sprint.

The only reason that I was tempted to switch over to Sprint was for the international plan capabilities of this blackberry 8830.

My previous device was the BlackBerry 8700g (http://www.611connect.com/phone/tmobile-blackberry...).

Things I like about this smart phone - what is it called anyway, are Blacberries allowed to be called smart phones or pdas?

Things to like about the Sprint Blackberry 8830:

- nice bright display

- trackball
- easy to use and some customization (every blacberry has this)
- decent qwerty keyboard
- data storage

Things that could be better with the Sprint Blackberry 8830 World Phone:
- batter life is shorter compared to its predecessor
- bigger than curve
- no camera

Overall I am satisfied with this phone, but I am looking forward to my upgrade.

Finally - an anecdote about my international use - I had a really hard time with it in the Philippines.
