T-Mobile Sidekick LX in Brown or Blue

Well, well, well we meet again. I was at the store this morning and I have been a little out of touch with what T-mobile has out. This phone isn't 3G and it is missing a few of the commong things that everyone is looking for in a phone today. I wasn't looking for a phone today I was busy getting a Wii. I saw some of the complaints that kids are using these and they love them. I have to agree and it is probably because I am a kid at heart or that I have fat fingers. BFA, what can you do besides decrease your caloric intake and increase you caloric burn? Probably either or. Anyway, I noticed that the keyboard was larger and it made it easier to text. The screen was also an improvement over the sidekick 3. The SideKick LX has bluetooth and a 3.5mm headphone jack so it is good for a lot of the things that kids need it for nowadays. I think this is a good phone and the swivel screen has always been cool.

Should parents really be setting themselves up for the myriad issues involved in giving these phones to children. I saw one of my son’s friends (8 year old) engaged with this phone and yes, he loves it but how do you limit their "interactivity" time and get them outside where a kid ought to be??? Kids will use these devices to order burgers and fries and then we’ll wonder how we got to be BFA - big, fat America!

i got my teenage son this phone. Big mistake. Now I can’t get him off of it. All his friends have it. Seems like a big winner for T-Mobile.
