It appears that Verizon's first LTE 4G (Long Term Evolution) handset may arrive six months sooner than expected. Tony Malone, Verizon Wireless' chief technology officer, has revealed in a WSJ interview that the carrier's release window for its first LTE handset has been set around the middle of 2011. A couple of new Xperia X10 handsets running on the Android 1.6 software were recently added to Sony Ericsson smartphone line-up.
